The Hood can be easily attached to the MotionProtect Outdoor without having to dismount the detector. It comes with everything you’ll need for installation.

Principle of operation

The anti-masking feature on the MotionProtect Outdoors is designed to identify when intruders are trying to sabotage the sensor, by covering the lens with a cloth, spray-paint, etc. When the view of the antimasking sensor is blocked, it triggers an alarm.

Rain and snow can interfere with the outdoor sensor’s anti-masking feature if the raindrops stay on the lens and block the lens field of view. The Hood reduces the chances of this happening.
